Hockey Hall of Fame Player

Edgar Laprade

We have reached the halfway point of the season. The teams are pretty much evenly matched.  A couple of surprises but we are getting closer to true parity. Good luck to all the teams during the second half. Let’s keep up the good play with no incidents. I hate the paper work when someone is naughty.

With any luck we will not have too many games to make up for bad weather. It is always a pain to schedule those.

Have a great rest of the season.

This Hall of Fame player speaks out about fighting in the NHL. “The basic game hasn’t changed that much,” Laprade says, his eyes sparkling. “What’s changed is the people who play the game … the players have become more mean.” He said in a recent interview. This 92 year old now enjoys his two great grandsons play on a team that includes girls as part of the team. He is most famous for holding back a charging foe and for always being a gentleman.

Food for thought for our men’s league!

Happy Holidays to all!

End of Season Activities

Remember that we will not tolerate any player that is not on your roster or any player who has not played in at least 8 games during the regular season playing in the post season. This would be unfair to the other teams. We want all the teams to have an equal chance to win the championship. In addition any player that has been suspended for the season is ineligible to play in the end of the season games.

Let us keep the spirit of good sportsmanship alive and well in our league!

Reminders

Team attendance sheets are required for all games. We need to have the proof of who played every game so that there are no questions at the end of the regular season.

Thank you for your co-operation!
